What To Know
Consultation
At your upcoming appointment, we’ll take a close look at your mouth both visually and with advanced imaging tools like CBCT and CEREC scans. These scans allow us to assess the amount and quality of bone available, which is essential in determining whether you're a good candidate for a dental implant. Beyond the technical evaluation, we’ll also spend time discussing your personal needs, goals, and any concerns you may have. This is a collaborative process—our aim is to understand what you’re hoping to achieve and develop a treatment plan that’s tailored specifically to you. Whether you're seeking improved function, aesthetics, or both, we’re here to guide you every step of the way toward a healthy, confident smile
Advanced imaging
During your visit, we’ll take a CBCT scan and a CEREC scan to gather detailed information about your oral anatomy. The CBCT scan provides a 3D image of your bone structure and sinus area, allowing us to precisely evaluate the volume and density of bone available for implant placement. The CEREC scan captures a digital impression of your teeth and gums, helping us visualize the surrounding structures and plan the restoration with accuracy. Together, these scans give us the insight we need to determine whether your mouth is suitable for a dental implant and to ensure the procedure is both safe and successful.
Placing the implant
During your surgical appointment, we’ll take a comprehensive approach to ensure the best outcome for your implant. If necessary, we’ll begin by extracting the affected tooth, followed by placing the dental implant directly into the jawbone. In cases where additional support is needed, a bone graft may be performed at the same time to help reinforce the area and promote long-term stability. Once the implant is secured, a healing abutment will be placed over it to guide the surrounding tissue as it heals. This step is essential for shaping the gum line so that when we place the final crown, it not only functions properly but also looks natural and aesthetically pleasing.
